Career:

Rachel qualified with Hammond Suddards in Leeds in 1990. She has held a number of roles in her career to date, including Head of Dispute Resolution at Optima Legal, and most recently as a director in the Real Estate and Banking litigation department at Walker Morris in Leeds, before joining AFR Advocates in 2016.

Rachel has extensive experience in commercial litigation, in particular property litigation, professional negligence disputes, insolvency, trust and contract disputes. Rachel works with a wide client base and has an appetite for complex cases. Rachel has significant knowledge and experience both legally and commercially for clients. The nature of her work is such that whilst there is a legal aspect there is more often a common sense/commercial aspect to consider. She has experience of dealing with cases in England and Wales in various forums from the County Court up to the Court of Appeal, before the Property Chamber and in ADR and mediation.

Rachel was highly recommended for banking litigation in the Legal 500 2015.
